Anyway, HomeExchange shouldn't let people rate "cleanliness" if we are charged a cleaning fee. Plus, she gave me a bad rating just because I asked if she could provide a bed, since the add said she could sleep 4, but really, there was only a bed. It's only normal that I ask that we can sleep 4, for real. I wrote to home exchange and they don't want to remove her bad rating. All was easy to book with 3 months notice..but to our shock the exchange was cancelled in the last week saying they had double booked and we were left with no booking/holiday.
We love home exchange and have enjoyed many successful exchanges. I purchased with Diamante to get access to third home and from what I understand I need to exchange my one week at Diamante to get 2 years access to third home with keyless travel within 30 days. They used to advertise as the AirBnB for luxury homes. However, I cannot imagine I would ever want to enroll my second home in AirBnB and have strangers potentially ruin it.

I have been using HE for nearly 15 years and found their website and process very easy to manage and their support team also very good. If you are considering exchanging your home - then I personally can highly recommend Home Exchange. Aside minor breakages we have never had any issues, either with the website, or during our exchanges. Please address this problem because we do love home exchange. We are happy with home exchange but our problem was not solved. The ONLY drawback is the UX of the site can feel a little clunky sometimes.
